WHO WE ARE

SIBO Water and Sanitation Company Limited (SIBOWASCO) was established as a Private limited liability Company limited by shares on 14th June 2006 under the Companies Act No. 17of the year 2015.

On 27th June 2006 the Company was contracted through a Service Provision Agreement (SPA) by Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency (LVSWWDA) to provide water and sanitation services to the residents of Siaya and Bondo and the surrounding towns.

SIBOWASCO is fully owned by the County Government of Siaya through a shareholding of 5,000 shares distributed as follows:-

 Governor’s office, 1 Share, County Government of Siaya 4999 Shares.

OUR MANDATE

The responsibilities and mandate of SIBOWASCO as a water service provider are stipulated in Section 78. (1) of the Water Act 2016 and include:
The provision of water services within the area specified in the license; and
    The development of county assets for water service provision.
