WHO WE ARE

SIBO Water and Sanitation Company Limited (SIBOWASCO) was established as a Private limited liability Company limited by shares on 14th June 2006 under the Companies Act No. 17of the year 2015.

On 27th June 2006 the Company was contracted through a Service Provision Agreement (SPA) by Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency (LVSWWDA) to provide water and sanitation services to the residents of Siaya and Bondo and the surrounding towns.

SIBOWASCO is fully owned by the County Government of Siaya through a shareholding of 5,000 shares distributed as follows:-

 Governor’s office, 1 Share, County Government of Siaya 4999 Shares.

Commissioning of Aduoyo Kokise Water supply that saw an elevated tank (108 mc) ,2 Water Kiosk, pump house,Networks and distribution commissioned. The project was funded by Chalice Canada through Franciscan Sisters of St. Anna Lwak.These was a partnership project between SIBO and Franciscan Sisters that saw it completed in exactly one year. Through this project the pro poor communities of Asembo Aduoyo and Kokise are sure to access fresh water , improved human dignity and economic sustainability through SIBOs pro poor approach.
The project was commissioned on 24.3.2021 by the CECM Water Hon. George Rubiik Misore
